School fit
Is Boston Latin a fit?
- The school
- Boston Latin School is one of the Boston Public Schools exam schools. A family applies once through BPS and ranks the exam schools in order of preference.
- Entry grades
- New students enter in grade 7 or grade 9.
- Ranking choices
- A student must rank at least one exam school. BPS encourages applying to all three.
- One invitation
- A student receives an invitation to only one exam school.
- Final decisions
- Exam school decisions are final and BPS does not accept appeals.
- After an invitation
- Invited students are invited to a spring 2027 welcome event.
- Contact
- Boston Latin School main phone: (617) 635-8895. BPS exam school admissions policy phone: 617-635-9000.
